Your Salesforce agents, in Google Chat

Ask questions and request actions from your Salesforce Agentforce agents without leaving your Google Chat conversation. Each person connects their own Salesforce account and uses their own permissions.

Currently free. This app will move to paid access soon at US $5 per user per month. Salesforce licenses and Agentforce usage charges are separate.

Bring your Salesforce agents into everyday conversations

Your team can ask about work, find Salesforce information, and request supported actions from the chat application they already use. Each person connects their own Salesforce account and chooses an agent made available by their administrator.

Ask for the information you need

Get answers from your configured Salesforce agent, including records and work your account can access.

Request the next action

Ask your agent to carry out the workflows it supports. Available actions depend on its configuration and your Salesforce permissions.

Keep your Salesforce identity

Use your personal Salesforce connection. Your administrator controls which agents and records you can access.

Examples for project and time management

A Salesforce agent configured for project and time management can support questions such as these:

  • “What tasks do I have this week?”
  • “What projects do I have running?”
  • “Show my time for this week.”

Task updates and time submission are available when your selected agent supports those actions. The app connects you to your existing agents; the agent and its Salesforce configuration determine what it can do.

What you need

You need access to the relevant chat application and a compatible Salesforce Agentforce agent, with the Salesforce licenses and permissions required for your work. No PK4 TimeTracker installation is required.

Connect your Salesforce account

For every user, including administrators. Your administrator approves access for your organization; each person still connects their own Salesforce account. Trying our demo? Open the Try the demo tab.

1. Open the app in Google Chat™

Our public Marketplace listing is currently under review. Approved PK4 testers can click New chat, type Agentforce directly in the search field, select Agentforce for GChat (the current in-chat display name), and install it. The unpublished app will not appear in Find apps. Public installation will become available after Google approves the listing; your Workspace administrator may also need to allow the app.

2. Connect Salesforce

  1. Open the app’s Chat tab and send hello or any message.
  2. Choose Connect Production for a production or developer org, or Connect Sandbox for a sandbox.
  3. Sign in to Google using the same account you use in Google Chat™. This confirms which Chat user is linking Salesforce.
  4. Sign in to your Salesforce account, complete any required identity verification, and review the requested access.
  5. When the confirmation page says you are connected, close it and return to Google Chat™.

If Salesforce blocks the connection because the Connected App is not installed or approved, send your Salesforce administrator the Salesforce admin setup tab. Ordinary users do not need to install the Connected App in Salesforce or create a new one.

3. Choose an agent and start chatting

Select an available Salesforce agent from the list shown in Chat. The confirmation names your chosen agent. Try What can you help me with? Type choose agent to switch later. Available agents, records, and actions depend on your Salesforce permissions and your administrator’s configuration.

Reconnect or start over

Type reconnect to open the connection options again. To remove the current connection, type disconnect salesforce, click Disconnect Salesforce in the confirmation card, and wait for confirmation. Send hello to start again. Reinstalling the Chat app does not reset a previously saved Salesforce connection.

Private identity, shared replies when you choose

Requests use your personal Salesforce connection. In a space, add the app, type @, and select Agentforce for GChat (the current in-chat display name) from the suggestions. For example: @Agentforce for GChat What tasks do I have this week? Select the suggested app mention rather than typing its name as plain text. Replies are visible to other members of that space. Use a direct message when the answer should stay out of a group conversation.

Help and support

Type help for instructions, reconnect to link again, or disconnect salesforce to revoke this app’s Salesforce connection. For support or data requests, email support@pk4.tech. Include the time and error category if available, but never send passwords, tokens, or confidential chat content.

PK4 provides this independent integration. Google Chat™ and Salesforce Agentforce are products of their respective owners; this app is not published by Google or Salesforce.

Try our shared Salesforce demo

After installing Agentforce for Google Chat™, send it any message and choose Connect Production. Sign in to Google with your own Google Chat™ account, then sign in to Salesforce with either demo account below and approve the connection. Return to Google Chat™ and select an available Salesforce agent. The agent name comes from Salesforce and can differ from the chat app name.

This is a shared demo: use sample data only. Other demo users may see changes to Salesforce records. PK4 resets the demo data weekly. Do not enter personal, confidential, or customer information.

Start with questions such as “What can you help me with?” or “What tasks do I have this week?” Available answers and actions depend on the Salesforce agent and sample data.

When finished, type disconnect salesforce. Then send another message, choose Connect Production or Connect Sandbox as appropriate, and authorize your own Salesforce account. Type choose agent whenever you want to select a different agent.

The same Salesforce demo accounts can be used with PK4’s Teams bridge; follow the connection and disconnect controls in that app.

One-time Salesforce administrator setup

For Salesforce administrators. Complete this for each production org or sandbox you want to connect. Users then follow Get started individually. People trying PK4’s shared demo do not administer the demo org.

These Salesforce steps also apply to Agentforce for Teams. Approve the Connected App used by the particular bridge; the Google Chat™ and Teams bridges can use different app registrations.

If you are the first person to connect successfully, ask your administrator to complete the installation and access checks below. Your successful login alone does not mean other users are approved.

1. Make the initial administrator connection

In Microsoft Teams, open Agentforce for Teams. In Google Chat™, open Agentforce for Google Chat™. Send any message to get the connection buttons. Choose Connect Production or Connect Sandbox. Sign in with the Google or Microsoft account you use in that chat, then sign in to the correct Salesforce org and review the requested access.

If Salesforce blocks this initial authorization because the app is uninstalled, an authorized Salesforce administrator must use an account with the Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps permission, subject to your organization’s security policy. This permission is for the administrator carrying out setup; it should not be broadly assigned to end users as a workaround.

2. Install the Connected App in Salesforce

  1. In the target Salesforce org, open Setup.
  2. Enter Connected Apps OAuth Usage in Quick Find and open that page.
  3. Find the PK4 Connected App used by the login you just completed. Check the application name shown on the Salesforce consent screen; if it is unclear which entry is ours, contact PK4 before approving it.
  4. Click Install next to that app, then confirm the installation.

This installs the OAuth app’s definition for management in your org. It does not install a TimeTracker package. If the app already shows Uninstall, it is already installed. Apps created in the current org can show different actions and may not have an Install button.

If the app is missing from the list, have the authorized administrator complete the initial connection, refresh the usage page, and check again. Also check whether the app is blocked. Do not create a replacement app or change PK4’s callback URLs.

3. Approve the intended users

  1. Open Manage Connected Apps in Setup and select the installed app.
  2. Review Edit Policies → OAuth Policies → Permitted Users.
  3. For controlled enterprise access, select Admin approved users are pre-authorized, then grant access to the intended users through the appropriate permission sets or profiles.
  4. Retain your organization’s required IP, session, and authentication policies. Ensure users also have the Salesforce API permissions and Agentforce access required for their work.

Connected App approval permits login; it does not grant access to every agent or Salesforce record. Salesforce permissions still govern access.

4. Return to Teams or Google Chat™

Ask the user to start a fresh connection from the app. After connecting, the app sends agent choices to Teams or Google Chat™. Select an agent and look for a confirmation that includes its name. To switch later, type choose agent.

If Salesforce keeps the user on an error page, return to Teams or Google Chat™ and open a new connection link after the administrator has resolved the issue. The app cannot automatically read an error displayed only on Salesforce’s website.

Still unable to connect?

Check that you selected the correct production org or sandbox, that the app is installed and unblocked, and that your user has the required app assignment. If the error mentions a callback URL, client ID, or OAuth scopes, contact PK4 so we can check the application configuration. Do not send passwords, client secrets, or tokens.
